Smita Mandlik

Smita Mandlik was born in the year 1967 at Amravati, Maharashtra. She completed her M.A. in music (Classical vocal) in the year 1991. She also did her B.Ed in the year 1992 and from the year 1994, she started experimenting in painting.

In 1997, she participated in Group Show at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.

From there on she has been a regular participant in Bombay Art Society, Mumbai,
State Art Exhibition, Mumbai, S.C.Z.C.C., Nagpur, Art Society of India, Mumbai, A.I.F.A.C.S., New Delhi, Bhausaheb Deshmukh Arts Academy, Amravati, and Camlin Art Foundation, Western Zone.

In 2008, she had solo show titled “Pulsations” at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, and participated in a group exhibition of inspirational works of Art titled “Art on the Turf”at Pune.
In 2005, she participated in ‘Present-Future’ exhibition organized by NGMA, Mumbai.
She has bagged several awards like Cash Award in Annual Art Exhibition organized by Bhausaheb Deshmukh Arts Academy, Amravati in 2001;
Merit Certificate, Bombay Art Society, Mumbai in 2003;
Cash Award, Bombay Art Society, Mumbai in 2005.

Her paintings are part of private collections in India and abroad.
